Safety Regulations
Our highest priority is to provide natural and safe products for every baby. Quality is very important to us. All our products including all toys comply with the European Safety Standards for toys: 71-3 - migration of certain elements.
All our dummy chains or toy clips are non toxic, colourfast and scratch free. To be very clear: All beads, clips, strings etc. used in our dummy chains are certified and assembled according to EN 12586. This Standard specifies Safety requirements for soother holders relating to material, construction, performance and includes mechanical and chemical test methods. With a permanent ban on certain ribbons, strings, beads, similar ornaments etc. in 2011 the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission also refers to the European Standard EN 12586.
Dummy chains cannot be any longer than 22cm as well as cannot be lengthened or altered. Dummy chains are no toys and should not be used as teethers. If you are using the clip to fasten a toy, please do not attach it on the child's clothing. Please fasten the toy clip to a pram, rocker, blanket, bassinet etc.
Of course toys made out of wood are not indestructible. Naturally, babies will lick and chew on a toy, rattle or dummy chain. The lengthy impact of saliva can soften wood and the chewing will increase abrasion or chipping of the coating. Even through normal 'wear and tear' the product will be safe. Loss of colour does not diminish the safety.
All wooden clips are rust proof and nickel free. Every clip will be equipped with three compulsory ventilation holes and a snap closure is used for maximum holding strength as it may get pulled. Very strong metal suspender clips. Hard to undo.
For your child's safety

FAQ
There is a permanent ban on certain baby dummy chains with decorations including crystals and beads and other similar ornaments in Australia... Does that mean the product is not safe?
The scope of the Australian ban has been narrowed such that the permanent ban only applies to dummy chains to which there are crystals, beads or other similar ornaments attached and which do not comply with nominated requirements of European Standard EN 12586:2007 + A1:2011 Child use and care articles – Soother holder – Safety requirements and test methods. The requirements specified relate to length, impact resistance, durability of the garment fastener and tensile strength.
